Who is the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities?
In 1947 a group of Lions felt there was a need for transportation for children with disabilities. With their own vehicles they began the first transportation program for these children. This idea developed into what we now know as the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities.
The Society has been a registered charitable organization since 1952. You may also know us as the Easter Seal People. Under both names, our mandate is to support children with disabilities throughout British Columbia. The Society provides specialized programs and services to help children to develop to their full potential.
Our Services include: 3 Easter Seal Camps, 3 Easter Seal Houses, Easter Seal Buses, the Vancouver Hospital Helipad, Patient Care Grants and the Lions Laser Skin Care Centre at Vancouver Hospital.
Who is the Bear Mountain Fund?In the process of being formed by Bear Mountain Resort, the Bear Mountain Fund is a charitable organization that will raise money through events organized by and with Bear Mountain Resort. Working with the BC Lions Society, it is the vision of the Bear Mountain Fund to support local children charities.
